How To

Do everything in Perks Purchase

Follow these steps to list, buy, deliver, refund, and manage your preferences. Each section includes “what’s next” guidance for quick navigation without relying on the AI assistant.

Get started

  1. Sign up with Google or email/password.
  2. Set your business name (required before first listing).
  3. If you have admin rights, use the dashboard to invite a Secretary (Auditor).

Ready to list? Jump to “List an item”.

List an item

  1. Use the List Item option in the navigation. The flow: Category → Item info (category-specific fields) → Delivery info → Sale or Presale.
  2. Add images; contact details are removed from public listings to keep purchases on-platform.
  3. Premium users can ask AI to draft a description. Regular users get guidance only.
  4. Choose delivery policy and rates; delivery fees are paid directly to the seller after delivery, not billed by the platform.
  5. If Admin/Secretary, the listing is tagged “Listed by Perks”; others show your business name.

After listing, share the item; social previews include image, name, price only.

Cart & checkout

  1. Add items from any vendors; see per-item delivery policy and rates (paid directly to the seller).
  2. Cart and checkout remind you that billing doesn’t happen until payment.
  3. At checkout, Perks creates a transaction per vendor and notifies them. You can still adjust before paying.

Wait for vendor confirmations, then review quantities.

Vendor confirms availability

  1. Vendors open the order from notifications, set available quantities, and confirm.
  2. Buyers get a web notification when confirmation is done.

If you are the buyer, proceed to “Buyer adjust” to drop/reduce items if needed.

Buyer adjusts quantities

  1. Open the transaction; adjust quantities up to the confirmed maximum.
  2. Save adjustments; the seller is notified of the changes.

Ready? Continue to “Pay”.

Pay

  1. Go to the Payment screen for the transaction.
  2. Complete the mobile money payment. Platform fee: max(ZMW5, 2.5% of transaction).
  3. Payment success triggers notifications to buyer and seller.
  4. After payment, call and WhatsApp buttons appear on the transaction detail screen.

After paying, schedule delivery/pickup.

Schedule delivery or pickup

  1. Sellers open the transaction and set the scheduled time (default +2 hours).
  2. Buyer receives a notification. Delivery note is optional.
  3. Use the embedded map/deep link to navigate to pickup/delivery points.

On handoff, scan and confirm receipt.

Scan & confirm receipt

  1. Seller shows the QR for each item; buyer scans to confirm receipt.
  2. Confirm quantity received. The app records delivery, updates status, and sends receipts.
  3. Each receipt includes traceable QR metadata for audits.

If items aren’t delivered, request a refund.

Request refund (undelivered items)

  1. Buyers can request a refund for undelivered items.
  2. Buyer gets a notification that refund was initiated.
  3. Admin and Secretary receive notifications with transaction logs and can approve.
  4. Penalties apply to the vendor: min ZMW15, else 10% capped at ZMW50 per item.

Track status in notifications or the transaction view.

Notifications & devices

  1. In Settings, register the current device for web notifications. Re-register to prune prior devices.
  2. Admins/Secretaries can compose broadcasts or target users; a cost confirmation prevents accidental all-user sends.
  3. Payment confirmations may also arrive by email; other updates appear in-app and on your device.

Next, personalize your experience in Settings.

Settings & AI

  1. Change theme (light/dark/system) and accent. Accents sync locally; cross-device sync arrives with premium continuity.
  2. Toggle AI bubble. Premium users can run guided actions; regular users get guidance only.
  3. Admins/Secretaries can enable/disable premium features on their accounts in Settings.

Install the app for quicker access.

Install & offline

  1. When prompted, add Perks Purchase to your device.
  2. If offline or on poor connection, banners will appear with guidance. Actions retry when online where possible.
  3. Continuity saves your place in flows; premium users can resume on other devices.
