An open marketplace where anyone can sell to anyone, with secure flows for checkout, delivery, refunds, and premium AI assistance. Built for clarity and trust from listing to receipt.
What is Perks Purchase?
A unified account lets you list items as a seller and buy from anyone. Listings go live instantly (newest-first), mixing vendors inside the same cart. Clear delivery policies, staged confirmations, and QR-verified receipts make every transaction traceable to all stakeholders.
Admin and Secretary (Auditor) listings are marked “Listed by Perks.” All other listings display the seller’s business name (required before first listing).
Marketplace model
- Multi-vendor cart with per-item delivery policy and rates; delivery fees are paid directly to sellers and are not included in the checkout total.
- Listings sanitized to remove phone/email/social handles to keep all purchases on platform; share links show image/name/price only.
- Promotions: sellers can boost listings for a daily fee (admin-set) with optional 25% discount; platform enforces max duration to keep ≥50% value for the seller.
- Presale mode for direct-buy without back-and-forth; wishlist/bookmarks and subscriptions to similar listings supported.
Order to delivery
- Buyer adds items (any vendors) → checkout creates per-vendor transactions.
- Vendors get web notifications to confirm available quantities.
- Buyers review confirmed quantities, drop or reduce items, then pay for items only. Delivery fees are handled directly with the seller after delivery.
- Vendors schedule delivery/pickup (default 2 hours). Buyer gets notified; map helper shows route or deep link to Google Maps.
- At delivery/pickup, buyer scans item QR from vendor’s device, confirms receipt; both sides get traceable receipts.
“What’s next” hints appear across flows for users not using the AI assistant.
Payments, fees, penalties
Platform share
max(ZMW5, 2.5% of transaction).
Non-delivery penalty
min ZMW15, else 10% capped at ZMW50 per item.
Currency
ZMW (K) only for now; future expansion noted.
Thirdparty Payment Engines payout fees
Mobile money fees range from K8.5–K35; bank payout fees range from K8.5–K35.
AI experience
The AI appears as a friendly assistant bubble. It focuses on human-guided navigation: it suggests steps and can carry out in-app actions only when you confirm.
- Regular users: AI provides guidance and suggestions only.
- Premium users: AI can navigate, fill listing descriptions, and launch flows.
- Admins/Secretary are premium by default and can toggle in Settings.
Premium & trial
Premium pricing: weekly ZMW15, fortnightly ZMW20, monthly ZMW25, quarterly ZMW60. A once-off 7-day trial can be activated any time (one time only). Membership reminders can be automated, or handled in-app by admins when needed.
Security & compliance
- Device-native re-auth required before sensitive actions (payouts, refunds, role changes).
- All data links back to stakeholders (user, listing, transaction IDs) for audit.
- Admin can view all transaction details, notifications, transfers.
- Listings sanitized to strip contact info before display/share.
Notifications & reminders
Web notifications for all events; email currently used only on payment success. Admins and Secretaries can compose broadcasts or target users (with cost confirmation). Users can register a device and prune prior registrations in Settings.
Refunds, penalties, receipts
Buyers can request refunds for undelivered items and get a confirmation notice. Admin and Secretary receive notifications with transaction logs and can approve. Penalties apply to undelivered items per rules above. Receipts carry QR traces.
Data, continuity, install
- Continuity saves progress across flows; premium users get cross-device continuation.
- Admin controls data purge toggles with hard minimum age of 3 months.
- Install the app when your browser offers the prompt.
- Network banners show poor/offline states with next steps.
